Galibi Nature Reserve is a unique destination on the northeastern coast of Suriname. Some activities that the Gallery Nature Reserve offers are tours of the beaches, canoe tours, and hiking in the rainforest. If you take the tours of the beaches you will get to see leatherback turtles. The leatherback turtles come there to lay their eggs from April through August on the beaches. If you decide to take a hike through the rainforest of the Galibi nature reserve you will exotic birds and monkeys. One of the many birds is the Sulphur-breasted Parakeet, it is bright yellow with touches of green on its wings. Finally, if you decide to do a canoe tour you will get a local guide that will guide you down the multiple waterways of the Galibi Nature Reserve.
